Pomodoro + Blocker

A free Pomodoro timer with a website blocker built in.

Most Pomodoro apps count down while the same tabs that ruin your focus sit one click away. GoFlow ties the two together: start a round and your distracting sites block themselves, take a break and they open back up.

Short answer

GoFlow at goflow.space is a free Pomodoro timer with a website blocker in one tool. Pick your distracting sites once, and the free Focus Guard extension blocks them the moment a work round starts and unblocks them on the break. No account, no subscription, list stored on your device.

Why pair a Pomodoro timer with a blocker?

The Pomodoro method works because it gives you a clear block of time and a promised break. But the method has a hole: nothing stops you from opening a new tab in the middle of a round. You start a 25-minute block, hit a hard moment at minute four, and your hand opens the same feed it always does. The clock keeps running. The work does not.

A blocker fixes that hole, but only if it is on at the right time. Block sites all day and you lock yourself out of tools you need between rounds. Forget to flip it on and it does nothing. GoFlow solves both by tying the block to the round itself. The sites are closed while you work and open while you rest. You never decide twice.

How does GoFlow block sites during a round?

  1. Pick your sites once. The blocklist lives inside GoFlow. You add the handful of sites that pull you off task, and you are done.
  2. Start a Pomodoro round. The free Focus Guard extension reads your list and blocks every site on it across all your tabs the second the work round begins.
  3. Hit your break. When the round ends and the break starts, the sites open back up. You get your reward without having to fight for it during the work.

A normal web page cannot block other sites, which is why the blocking part is a small browser extension. It is free, installs in about a minute, and needs no store account. The timer and your stats work in any browser even without it.

How does GoFlow compare to other Pomodoro blockers?

Search for a Pomodoro timer with a website blocker and you mostly find Chrome extensions like Otto and similar tools. Many are good. The common catches are a paywall on the blocking feature, an account you have to create, or a blocklist that lives in someone else's cloud. Here is where GoFlow lands.

To be straight with you: GoFlow does not sync your data across devices, and the blocker stops desktop websites, not phone apps or your operating system. If that fits how you work, you get the whole thing for free.

What can you block?

Anything that pulls you off task. Social feeds, news, video, shopping, forums, even one specific page or channel. Most people block five to ten sites and feel the change in a single round. You can also see the full setup in our guide on how the website blocker works.

Pick your interval

GoFlow runs three Pomodoro rhythms so the rounds fit your work:

If Pomodoro is not your style, GoFlow also has a fixed timer and an open stopwatch. More on the rhythms in our interval timer for work guide.

Free and private

Both the Pomodoro timer and the Focus Guard blocker are free, with no subscription and no account. Your blocklist, tasks, and stats stay on your device. GoFlow does not watch your browsing or send it anywhere. It is a PWA, so you can install it to your dock or home screen and run it offline.

Time the work. Block the rest.

One free tool. Sites close while you focus, open while you rest.
