Why pair a Pomodoro timer with a blocker?
The Pomodoro method works because it gives you a clear block of time and a promised break. But the method has a hole: nothing stops you from opening a new tab in the middle of a round. You start a 25-minute block, hit a hard moment at minute four, and your hand opens the same feed it always does. The clock keeps running. The work does not.
A blocker fixes that hole, but only if it is on at the right time. Block sites all day and you lock yourself out of tools you need between rounds. Forget to flip it on and it does nothing.
